Adamović-Mihalović Castle in Čepin — history and location
The Adamović-Mihalović Castle in Čepin is a Neoclassical noble residence built in the first half of the 19th century. It is hidden behind a fence and the former park along the main road in Čepin, and today it does not have a permanent tourist purpose. History
The Adamović family acquired the Čepin estate in 1765, and Ivan Kapistran II. Adamović commissioned the construction of the Neoclassical castle in the first half of the 19th century. The Ministry of Culture describes it as originally a single-storey building with an L-shaped floor plan. Subsequent additions to the eastern wing in the second half of the 20th century changed the foundation to a key-like shape.
The main southern façade faced the landscaped park with floral rondels. Behind the rear façade were utility buildings, and the western edge of the plot was bordered by a moat. The development plan of the Municipality of Čepin states that the castle was built as a freestanding building with a prominent main façade.
After the sale of parts of the Čepin estate at the end of the 19th century, the castle passed to the Mihalović family, from which its currently widespread double name derives. In the 20th century, the space was adapted for school and social purposes, which explains the annexes next to the historical building. The Ministry lists the Municipality of Čepin as the current owner.

The castle does not have published regular tourist opening hours, exhibitions, or an official price list. Do not enter the fenced area or the building without permission.
