Synopsis
Paddington returns to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now lives at the Home for Retired Bears. With the Brown family in tow, a thrilling adventure ensues when a mystery plunges them into an unexpected journey. The director of the previous two films, Paul King, has decided not to direct this edition. However, he proposed the idea for this third film and was involved as an executive producer. OK, Ms.

For those who don’t know, former incumbent Sally Hawkins said it was time to move on. I tried to meet her, but to me Emily Mortimer is just an older product of the London School of Lovely Girls. I know the show went on, but Emily’s opening moves are irritating and uninspired. For a few minutes I thought Oh no!! I tried hard to warm to her, she progressed strangely later in the film…least they could have done is give her a meaningful script, she seemed too much like a little wife who doesn’t say a lot.

Likewise for Madeleine Harris who plays Judy, excellent more lines next time maybe, for both. Maybe she tried to be Sally Hawkins sometimes. I’m not sure, but she had big boots to fill and Sally was a roaring success. Let’s be fair. They all performed their roles very well in the end.

So anyway, the adorable Peruvian finds himself this time taking their initiative and coming to the rescue of the family members. A family member is in trouble, and the oldest madness and mortal sin is the cause of all the mischief. The scenery in the remote place is stunning, just gorgeous, it inspired me to go there, as did London, which is grimly happy. there is a lot of hilarity in the film, action and tears, but very young children of a not very brave disposition will find the show not so warm, scary to pieces, as I thought at times. Visually, it is as fantastic as the previous films, while the script is at times flat and a little predictable, the mysteries unlocked were simple enough for a five-year-old to solve…ahem…the target audience.

Haha….this doesn’t take anything away from the CGI impact of the film and one ear split in particular. Forget it if you have healthy phobias of certain creatures (not snakes). Bonneville seems to have had a hair transplant, not sure, but he always gives a great performance, as do the Walters and some great newcomers to the story.
